Tasveer-e-Virasat: Heritage Photowalk Tours of Delhi

Objective: To combine the rich historical and architectural heritage of South Delhi with photography, offering participants a unique and engaging way to explore and document these sites.

Target Audience: Everyone ( 18+) / Special workshops for school children as per needs

Duration: Each walk will last approximately 2 hours.

Frequency: Twice a week (More can be arranged)

Photography Focus: Mobile photography ( Camera can be used with camera fees paid by the participant) | Lecture on Composing the photographs as per the sites presentation. | Guidance on composing perspectives and depth in photos apart from close shots & flatlays

Workshop List and Brief Details

  1. Qutub Minar Complex
    • Overview: Explore the iconic Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
    • Photography Focus:
      • Capturing the towering minaret from different angles.
      • Detailing intricate carvings and inscriptions.
      • Playing with light and shadow during different times of the day.
      • Composition Tips: Utilize leading lines to draw attention to the minaret. Experiment with framing the tower through archways and other structures to add depth to your photos.

  2. Mehrauli Archaeological Park
    • Overview: Discover hidden gems within the park, including tombs, step-wells, and ancient ruins.
    • Photography Focus:

      • Landscape shots of the park's layout and structures.
      • Capturing the interplay between nature and ancient structures.

      • The significance of Charbagh garden layout.
  4. Sunder Nursery Complex
    • Overview: Experience the blend of heritage and horticulture in this beautifully landscaped garden.

      • Sunset and blue hour photography.
